How to Apply for a Canada PR Visa ?

Canada Permanent Resident visa or Canada PR Visa is most looked after visa category for skilled professionals in India and globally. An individual can apply for Canada PR Visa due to many reasons which include work in Canada, study, immigration, sponsorship, citizenship and settlement services etc.

Well, study permit is not a visa; it doesn’t allow you to visit Canada. You might need a visitor visa or an electronic travel authorization (Eta)
to enter Canada. Once the study permit is verified, the Government will issue a study permit approval letter and, if required, an entry visa in your passport, authorizing your travel to Canada.

Steps for applying Canada PR Visa

  • Check eligibility

First and foremost, it is important to check the eligibility criteria and examine you’re eligible to apply for PR Visa or not. In case, you’re not eligible then skip the further process, continue and follow the remaining procedure when eligible.

  • Technical assessment

After checking the eligibility, when you are assured that you are eligible for further process, fill out the online profile assessment form available on the visa portal. This is one of the most important steps for PR visa.

  • Lodge application

  • Selection of the NOC Code

Check and find your NOC Code according to your current job responsibilities.

  • Verification of Documents

This is very important for authenticity purpose and security; it might include some digital signatures etc.

  • Getting PNP(optional)

Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP)are primarily aimed at individuals who have the skills, education and work to contribute to the economy of a specific province or territory; intend to settle permanently in that province or territory; and want to become permanent residents of Canada.

  • Language ability test

You have to appear for the IELTS (General) test to check your ability of the English.

  • Creation of the interest profile

After you had received your WES Report and IELTS Scorecard, if you are eligible, and have all the express entry Canada obligation, you can opt for this step.

  • Creation of Job Bank Profile

After EOI Profile, create your profile in the Job Bank, If the Canadian employer thinks your profile is suitable, then they will send the LMIA approved offer letter which will increase your CRS Score up to 50 points.

  • Medical and criminal background tests

  • Get ITA (Invitation to Apply ) and visa filling

If your CRS Score under the cut off then IRCC offer you invitation to apply then you need submit the required documents. And then after the time period 60 days, visa will be approved.

  • Grant the visa

If all documents are correct, they will provide you the grant letter; go with your grant letter to the VFS Centre for the stamping of the passport.
